Community
Bjorkdale, known as the "Village in the Valley" is located on Highway 23 between Tisdale and Porcupine Plain, Saskatchewan. The community has all the basic services and opportunities. Local businesses include Bjorkdale CoOp, PJ's One Stop, Valley Inn, Johnston Agencies, Sheila's Hair & Nail Salon, and Canada Post. The Village of Bjorkdale and RM of Bjorkdale offices are located here as well. The RM of Bjorkdale recently built a new shop which you will see as you enter Bjorkdale! There is a branch library of the Wapiti Regional Library. Bjorkdale also has a curling rink, skating rink, community hall, and a senior's centre. The Eileen Moen Community Playground is located behind the school. Adding a shine to the Bjorkdale community with some new improvements is the Hoffus Elevator.
If you are an outdoor enthusiast, there is plenty to do close-by. Marean Lake, Barrier Lake, and Greenwater Lake Provincial Park are all located within a half hour's drive.
